Railway Jobs 2019: Railway Minister declares 2.50 lakh fresh jobs in Indian railways soon
Railways Minister Piyush Goyal announces 2.50 Lakh additional vacancies in the Railways, says "New job opportunities for 2.25-2.50 Lakh people has been created, process for 1.50 Lakh vacancies is underway. So Railways, in a way, will be providing 4 Lakh jobs."
Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on Wednesday, January 23 announced 2.50 lakh fresh vacancies in Indian railways soon. In a press meet, Railway Minister announced that the new job opportunities for 2.25-2.50 Lakh people has been created, process for 1.50 Lakh vacancies is underway and will complete in next 2-2.5 months. So Railways, in a way, will be providing 4 Lakh jobs.Goyal further added that in next two years approx. 1 lakh railway employees would retire and the process of recruitment is on the way.
Indian Railways is all set to hire about 2,30,000 more employees over the next two years. This is in addition to the on-going RRB Recruitment 2018 of Group C, Group D and JE posts. In total 1,51,548 recruitments are expected to be completed by August 2019. Adding to these, a total of 1,31,428 jobs are expected to be notified in February/ March 2019. RRBs would also be notifying about 99,000 jobs later in the year (in May) to compensate for the number of employees who would be retiring – thus bringing the total to roughly 2, 30, 000 fresh RRB recruitments.
Yesterday, Railways Minister Piyush Goyal announced the same in a Press Conference. The report released by the Indian Railways outline the on-going mega recruitment process. RRBs have already conducted the second stage of RRB ALP & Technician Recruitment 2018. Under the RRB ALP recruitment, as many as 64,372 candidates would be offered jobs. In addition, RRBs are expected to soon release the results for RRB Group D Recruitment 2018 examinations. RRB JE Recruitment is currently in its initial stage.
